Frequently Asked Questions about tRAINING

How do I sign up for training?

MRTQ PDN has online registration for all training, which is done through the Online Training Calendar.  Simply find the page for the MRTQ PDN training in which you would like to enroll and click on “Click here to register” at the bottom of the page.  Please log in with your MRTQ Registry user name and password.  You will receive confirmation emails upon completion of your registration – one from MRTQ PDN regarding your training and one from Touchnet regarding your payment.

If you have questions about training registration, please contact our Training Specialist at

I want to sign up a group of staff members for training. How can I do this online?

Training registration is done through the MRTQ Registry.  Because the MRTQ Registry is system for individuals and contains confidential information, the individual practitioner must enroll him or herself in the training using his or her unique user name and password.  Once the practitioner has logged in and selected the appropriate training, a director or administrator is able to enter payment information through Touchnet.

The training I want to attend is full! What can I do?

If a training is full, you will be given the option to put your name on the waiting list.  MRTQ PDN strongly encourages you to add your name!  Occasionally other participants will cancel before the start of the training.  In addition, MRTQ PDN monitors the waiting lists and can schedule additional trainings in response to demand.  If we are able to add additional trainings, those on the waiting list will have first option to enroll!

I have never taken online training before. What do I need to know?

MRTQ PDN uses the online learning management system (LMS) called Moodle.  Courses are designed to be user-friendly and interactive.  Typical activities include reading handouts or articles, watching short videos, writing brief reflections, responding to the reflections of other participants, and short multiple choice “quizzes.”  There are no grades; training hours are awarded if all activities within a module are completed.

Technical requirements include access to a computer or tablet (completing training on a smartphone is not advised due to the amount of reading and writing involved) and access to the internet (preferably a high speed connection).

Finally, MRTQ PDN has a page on specific Online Training Help Topics for you to use as a reference.
